Phase to phase type faults (welds) cause unwanted problems on the low voltage electricity network. With the support of Kevin Dennis Innovation NIA project manager and his operations team at SSEN, we are working towards a system to quickly pinpoint and remove phase to phase faults (welds) from the low voltage underground network. At B&W technologies we are pleased that we have built the Q2Q. An easy to use phase to phase fault locator that has been validated by SSEN as the first step towards minimising disruption to customers after a fault.
